I'm entertaining a friend of mine on Saturday and we are at a loss of what to do during the day on Saturday.

Anyone know of any craft fairs, exhibits, county fairs, etc?

If you're into classic cars, I would have suggested Classics at the Captial, downtown, BUT the organizers got greedy this year, reconfigured the whole venue, moved the cars to 2 parking lots and are CHARGING spectators to walk around - unheard of at car shows.

Last year Fayetteville St. was closed off and allowed folks to stroll up and down, see beautiful cars and patronize all the shops there. My car club had an entire street that we paid for, and it was a great time. This year, there will be NO attendance from us.

They will not be getting $25 from me to show my car this year, I'd rather give it to a show that benefits a local organization, where the $$$ will go to folks/services that need it.

I'm a Big Fan of hitting up the Durham Farmers market on Saturday Mornings. There is always so much activity going on there between the farmers, craft vendors, food trucks and music. They also have a free outdoor yoga class if you are into that.

If you want to stick around Raleigh I suggest checking this out: Live music, food and brew for a cause :: Out and About at WRAL.com

Wow that's a shame. My husband and I went last year and it was great. No way we would pay though.

Exactly. I may go to Grill 57 with my car instead, it's their normal cruise day. Hope the weather holds out.
