I am a senior at state and the suit I have right now is basically breaking apart due to age and wear.

I need to purchase a reasonably priced suit for the upcoming job interviews and etc and I would like to do it within a reasonable budget. (under $200?) I actually don't even mind if the suit is used or not, just as long as its presentable.

Any recommendations on where I can go? tailors, discount stores, thrift stores, etc

Thanks!

maybe it might be worth checking out JoS A Banks as they regularly have suit sales

You know, I have found some really nice, designer things at Goodwill. They have stores all over the place. I've been to the one in Cary (Ten-Ten and Kildaire Farm) and the one in Brier Creek.

You also might try ebay for both new and used.

For your pricepoint, your best bet will be catching a sale at Macy's, Jos A Bank, or finding something at Men's Wearhouse. I have found suits on sale for around $200 at Brooks Brothers Outlets. I believe there is one in Smithfield.

What about JC Penny? We found a great suit for my son (separates, so they don't need alterations) for less than $150. He is a difficult size too but it was worth the trip.

If you have the time to look around and can pay for alterations then thrift is the way to go...

Mens Warehouse is where I went when I needed a new suit. I was impressed with their customer service and I paid about 200. Free tailoring. Good quality for the money.

Another vote for Men's Warehouse.
They have great customer service and will pull together an outfit for you that is professional and well coordinated. They will work with you to find something nice that is within your budget

Mens Wearhouse. They're having a buy 1 get 1 for $100 suit sale. Also, let them know you are a graduating senior. They used to have some kind of discount for grads (not sure if they still do).

There is also a place at the Fairgrounds that sells suits, tuxs, etc.. They are inside the building near the front.

If you can find a really good suit sale there. Jos. A. Bank has nice stuff, but they are notorious for tremendously over-pricing their merchandise outside of their "sales."
