EDIT: I may have misworded it though. I don't think he quit, but I imagine by the fact that he is running for a high possition he intends to if elected.

Anyone else facing this? Since school reopened, it as been dismal. Our bus comes at 8:40...for the last two days it showed up one day at 9am, today it did not show up at all. Boys are usually home by 4p,,,last two says they are getting home after 5 and we are 5 mins away...wonder if this is going to be the trend

You mean we were HOPING he had dropped out of the race he was currently running for, due to an insurmountable scandal that would take him out of public office FOREVER!
hahahaha well I do know that his brother didn't show up to vote for him in the primary until 5 minutes before the close of the last day of early voting. Does that count as a scandal? lol
Aside from the usual first-week challenges, Tata also attributed many of the problems to increased traffic, particularly in western Wake. He also said that they've got many new bus drivers who, while they did a dress rehearsal last week, are still learning their new routes.
I haven't noticed a marked increase in traffic in western wake county in the TWO months between the end of the last school year and the beginning of this one.
Maybe the buses should use the new toll road. No one else is using it.
my child is at Cary High too, only we don't have a bus! All I can say is that the carpool line at Cary High yesterday was a complete and total disaster!!!
Some high school students are old enough to drive themselves to school, but nooooooo......WCPSS wants them to pay $170 for a parking pass at the school which is ridiculous. They can't even drive themselves to school a few times a year when they need to stay late because there are no temporary parking spots for them to use. WCPSS could probably take a bunch of students off the buses if they address the parking problems at area high schools.

I guess I grew up in a different era but if I lived 5 minutes from school I would be walking to and from like we did back in the day. They didnt provide bussing where I grew up unless you lived more then a mile away from school. Would certainly cut down on the bus hassles IMHO.

I don't know if I necessarily agree with encouraging more students to drive to school. I remember when I was at Leesville there were all sorts of problems associated with the student drivers. Lots of accidents, issues with things students would leave in their cars, students having their cars vandalized while on campus. What I never understood while I was a student there is why they didn't encourage more students to bike to school. There was one small bike rack for the entire school and I knew of maybe two people, not including myself, who biked. Out of a school of almost 2000 students. Obviously not a solution for students further away from the school but there were plenty of students within a 2-mile radius of the school who drove there rather than biked or walked.
