I am looking for a store in Raleigh that offers a wide variety of beers that cna be purchased by the bottle. I am going to an Octoberfest party and we all need to bring several different bottles of beer, but I don't need a full six pack ogf each, just a bottle of this a bottle of that ect.....

I think there is a good place on Peace Street in Downtown Raleigh that has a decent selection of beers, but was curios if anybody had some tips on other places. Again, I am looking for a place that offers individual bottles of beer for sale and not just 6-packs.

Thanks!

In conjunction with NRG's question, are there any stores that sell Sam Adams in the area? It is the husband's favorite, and being that we live just outside of Boston now, it is quite easy to get. We are wondering if we should bring a few cases with us when we move, or will we be able to get it down there! Thanks so much! Just 8 more days until we move and we can't wait!

In addition to the former Seven-Even on Peace (I believe it is Peace Street Market or something now), Total Wine has a very good beer selection.

Sam Adams is pretty ubiquitous down here now. You can also find Harpoon at a lot of places.

You can't usually just buy a bottle at those though. Whole Foods is another place that has a large selection, but I don't know if you can mix-and-match or buy individual bottles there either. Trader Joes will allow mixed sixes of their beers.

Has anyone recommended World Market?

They do the mixed 6-pack that you can mix and match...

"Homer no function beer well without."

Ditto World Market. I go to the one at Cary Crossroads, in the Kohl's plaza (Dillard Dr. & Walnut St.).
