I have always wanted to live in many different places and I would like to know what it is like to live in Raleigh? Is the crime very bad? What are the good neighborhoods and is Greensboro a nice place to live? I want to ask another question. People have told me that they are predjudice in Raleigh and Greensboro but you cannot take what everyone says and believe it especially if they don't or haven't lived there before. I am a good and fun person and I love people of all cultures but I don't want to move my children somewhere that's rough. I know that the world has many rough places but I would like to steer clear. Is there anyone that has lived in Raleigh and could give me advice? Thanks.

I have lived here for about a month. Before that, I lived all over the country - mostly east coast and midwest. I like Raleigh. It's a beautiful city, with tall, lush trees and beautiful neighborhoods. Housing prices are better here than many other parts of the country. People seem pleasant, calm, helpful and nice. I see all kinds of people everywhere I go, and where I live, and haven't seen any instances of prejudice. I know things are changing here, and people are moving here in droves, but at this point, I can see why they're drawn here - basically, it seems like a really nice place to live.

Those people are narrow-minded idiots. You can tell them I said so.

Raleigh's OK after 18 years and having lived all over the USA.

Some bad areas like everywhere else, but nowhere near our previous time in New Orleans.

Diverse ethnicity. Most lifestyles are accepted.

My apt community's about equally divided between Hispanics, African-Americans, and Caucasians. We get along fine.
