Does anyone know where I can look to find free moving boxes in the Morrisville/Cary/Raleigh area? I have been checking Craigslist with not much luck. I need medium -small boxes. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

when are you moving? We are moving into our house late Oct and will have a semi truck full of boxes and wardrobe boxes you can have.

Lowe's and Home Depot sell them for around $1 each.

Hmmm, you might have missed people who moved over the summer. Why not put an ad that you are looking for them?

For small boxes you can always grab a stack from one of the ABC stores. Those boxes are also great for packing glassware if you grab the ones that still have the dividers in them.

Call Barnes & Noble and ask about their book boxes. I used to manage a Waldenbooks and a lot of our books came from central warehouses in a perfect size for moving and storage. They keep some but usually there are tons to get rid of after the large shipments (and this is the time of year when the big shipments start coming in to stock for Christmas).

If you are looking for free try the U-Haul website. They have a section there where people can post gently used boxes when they are done with them. That is how we got rid of a lot of ours after we moved.

Another option would be Freecycle.

Doesn't hurt to check/post you are looking. You never know, maybe it will be your lucky day.
