NY wife was diagnosed with blighted ovum a couple of weeks ago. But we were in denial and waited 2 more weeks. We just confirmed it is indeed blighted ovum.

We are hoping to find a doctor to do d&c this Friday so that she can have the long weekend to recover. Any doctor in triangle area is fine.

Thanks

Is the doctor that diagnosed her unable to do it? I don't know of any OB-GYN that will take a new patient AND perform surgery on them in two days. When I was diagnosed with a missed miscarriage, my doctor gave me the option of scheduling a D&C right away or giving it some time to see if my body did it naturally. If it didn't I was welcome to call back and schedule the surgery.

My sympathies to you and your wife. Duke has a "miscarriage clinic" for D&Cs, but I don't know what days they are offered or exactly how to get referred. You could call the OB/GYN scheduling line and see if they can direct you? 919-684-2471.
