From another thread it spurred an idea - why don't we set up another C-D meetup and see if OTF Deli/Bowling alley might want to help us with it.

I'm thinking sometime in early to mid November before people get super busy with the holidays and travel.

Thoughts?

Depending on the date, I might be up for it.

Is this the place? Over the Falls | Wake Forest's Best Sandwich, Burger, and Wings, Wake Forest Restaurants | Over the Falls

If not, do they have a website?

I'm interested but not 100% sure on availability in Nov.

Yes, that's the place, Ed. I know the person who owned it originally and I think she still either works there or is associated with the place. If there is sufficient interest I will contact her to see if she can help us.

I think either of the first two weekends in November (the 3-4 or the 10-11) would be good. Keep in mind that DST takes effect on Nov. 4 so that could be a confusing day to hold the meetup if people forget to change their clocks.

I'm there all the time. It's owned by Doug and Greg Pearce, who bought Over the Falls a while back and moved it from White Street to its present location. They just opened the bowling alley, and I stopped by the other night to check it out. They have a big room in the back for parties and such, although I forget what the rental rates are. But they'd be glad to fill you in. It has a giant bar, too.

Sounds good. Pick a date.

I enjoy the room at the Hibernian, but if we go there again, we should ask for them to set it up for mingling, not for a banquet.
Can Over the Falls do that? Never been there. Yet.

so, how often do you have these C-D meetings? is there some an agenda during the meeting, or just socializing? Just curious.

Randomly.
When someone calls one and people show up.
Agenda? Mostly talking about people who don't come out.

I am probably game for either of those weekends. And if anyone forgets there clock, they'll just have an hour's head start on us.

Maybe since MarkCanWrite knows the current owners he can speak to them about it?
