Put an ad on CL under the free section...post a picture, your address, it will be gone by tomorrow and is easier than breaking it up to fit in your trash bin. I posted an ad for an old stereo and it was picked up within 30 mins. Couldn't believe it.
Or you could join the rest of the CL folks and post recurring ad after ad for the same, overpriced piece of junk that probably couldn't even be given away for free. What's your time worth?
Can you put it on your curb with a "free" sign on it? I see lots of stuff like that around and it always seems to be gone pretty quickly.
Not sure I would trust such a large piece of fragile glass sitting at my curb - sounds like the definition of an attractive nuisance. I wouldnt want to be responsible for picking up all the pieces when someone broke it or for paying for their dr. bills when they injured themselves on it. It does offer you a one time opportunity to see what happens when you throw a baseball at a large piece of glass [may be easier to transport to the dump in multiple pieces in some sort of container than in a single sheet which happens to break along the way]

My choice - may be easier to transport to the dump in multiple pieces in some sort of container than in a single sheet which happens to break along the way

An alternative to the curb is Freecycle. That way you can find someone who wants it and arrange a time and place for pick up and not have to worry about it being at the curb.
When we remodeled our bathrooms we had those wall mirrors taken down and donated the cabinets/countertops to Habitat Restore, but they did not want the mirror.
Looks like that's a no go.
