Hello,
I recently heard from a friend that you could get the furniture, paintings, etc.. from model homes when the subdivision has completed and at a very good price. Can someone explain how the public would be informed if this/when this happened and any realtors on here that could help those of us moving to new homes.
Thanks,

I always heard this rumour too. Then I heard they rent that furniture. Any realtors know the inside scoop?

Yes.
It depends.
Some rent, but many own.
Have to ask to know.

The subdivision down the street had a model home furniture auction. Signs went up around the area a few days before the event. They auctioned off absolutely everything in the house. It was a lot of fun! I don't know if there is a website that would let you know of upcoming auctions, or if it's done just by posting signs. You may want to ask at different model homes. Maybe they have mailing lists.
