Thanks for the background information, mizunomom. It does make sense from an organizational/logistical standpoint - though, based on this conversation, it seems the demand might be there if they could just pull it off!
I would love to see year round magnets. Our school is a member of the Global School Collaborative Network and we absolutely love it. We went from a mediocre school to a fabulous one. I was pleasantly surprised by the huge difference in the quality of our school last year and this year. Our school is a single track year round. It would make a great magnet school.
I'm curious which school this is... we just moved here and got into a magnet elementary/traditional schedule but the global school too and LOVE it...
