Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisor. Anyone know why this is an elected position?

It took me about 10 minutes in Clayton. My first time voting in NC and it was simple and quick. I had no idea sample ballots could be downloaded...what is the website?

https://www.ncsbe.gov/VoterLookup.as...ture=voterinfo

Just put your first and last name into that webpage, then a page comes up with your polling place, voter registration info, voting history, and a link to your sample ballot. I always like to fill in a sample ballot beforehand so that in the voting booth I just have to copy my choices to the real ballot.

And why it's the only one on the ballot with a write-in line?

I got my sample ballot from WRAL.com a couple of weeks ago, although I'm not sure if they still have them now.

In and out in no time. I was expecting a very long wait today, but was pleasantly surprised that that was not the case for me. Special shout out to the man who looked like a "plumber" and had us in stitches as I turned around for a surprise viewing.
