Someone I know is currently in the process of putting together emergency packs/bags for pregnant ladies or new mums who are in a situation where they are homeless (or about to be), have to flee from domestic violence etc. This got me thinking that I would like to donate (used, but clean/good quality) baby clothing amongst other things to women or families in need in the area. I would prefer for these in-kind donations to go directly to the families in need rather than the stuff being resold in charity stores etc.
Does anyone know of any charities or support organisations in the Triangle that fit the bill? Thanks!
I have started donating to North Raleigh Ministry at Harvest Plaza on Strickland.
They assist people in crisis & homeless by supplying things to help them set up a place to live ,
and they also assist financially with money that is made by the thrift store..
