I am still excited that Firebird's is opening a location there! My son-in-law is the executive chef and he states that they are still shooting for an opening in the Spring of 2013...around May probably. It will be located on the lot between Gander Mountain and the movie complex.

I really like the location in North Hills but despise the traffic in that area. Hopefully it will be better in the Park West location.

Yesterday the Chili's at Park West was giving away free food. if you dined in you had to have an invite, we got carry out and did not have an invite still got it free. We got two entrees and an appetizer all free. It did take 20 minutes to get our food but it was good. Apparently it was a "soft" opening and was a practice run for the new staff. There is valet parking I assume just for the restaurant next door, forget the name someone mentioned it another post. We just parked in the carry out zone otherwise the lot was packed.

Good news about Firebirds.

Funny I live in walking distance of the old location and never had a desire to eat there. Maybe something better will take its space but then again there's other empty restaurant locations in that stretch with better visibility and they've been empty for ages.

Thursday {11/29/12} was their soft opening/trial run. I ate free with a friend, the menu was limited and alcoholic drinks were not included. Our meal with dessert was $28.00...we left a $10.00 tip since we ate free....we had no clue they were doing this, not a fan of Chili's but happened to be in the shopping center Thursday night...go me on a free meal...lol I didn't have an invite, but they were soliciting people outside the restaurant to come in and be test cases, lol...that's awful...sorry...the food was okay, service was excellent, but I'm sure everyone was on their best behavior considering it's new...I doubt I'll go back...as I don't like those chain type Chili's, AppleBees, etc places....

Zoe's Kitchen was excellent a few doors down...quality food at a great price...in my opinion...I'm definitely going back to Zoe's....
