Hi, I am expecting my second baby and now probably am 8 weeks pregnant. We just bought a house in west cary and will move there soon.
I am new to the area and am so confused where to find a good ob and a good hospital to deliver my baby.
I know that a lot of people say UNC hospital is very good. It is 13.4 miles away from my home.
Wakemed cary is also 13.4 away from my home.
Rex is about 19.8 mile away.
Wakemed Raleigh is 24.5 mile away.
Since no one is close to my home and consider it's our second baby, which hospital would you recommend based on doctor and nurses' professional, the hospital's facility?
Really appreciate your help.

I'm due to deliver at WakeMed Cary any day now and so far have been very pleased with them. If it makes any difference to you (or your insurance company) UNC is a public teaching hospital while WakeMed Cary is a private hospital. Also, WakeMed Cary does not have a high level NICU center so if you are having an atypical pregnancy that is something to consider.

I have many coworkers who have delivered at Durham Regional and Duke Hospital who have had good experiences there as well. Really I don't think you can go wrong with any of the hospitals in this area if you're having a typical pregnancy.

Thank you. So do you have any good ob to recommend?

I go to Cary OB-Gyn and have been happy with them. I wanted an OB practice that would support my desire to go natural and not try to talk me into inductions and c-sections without an absolute medical necessity. My due date is this week and they've already told me they'll let me go past 41 weeks if I want and there's nothing wrong medically

I went here for my last baby and was very happy with the practice: Maternal and Child Health Clinic — UNC Family Medicine Center
