I've seen the clearing going on this small patch of land and was thinking the C-D community may have an inkling of what's to come in that area. Anybody know? Rumors?

If you mean right near the I40 overpass just up from the new library, it's going to be a truck depot of sorts. Don't know any company name. I wonder if it might have something to do with the upcoming fracking. You'd be surprised how far away they store their trucks sometimes, as I've seen in the fracking up in NEPA. While they were tearing down all the trees it exposed an old abandoned home that they had to get a special permit to take down. Anyway, with the nature of what it'll be it's sure to slow down traffic on that road even more, not to mention take a toll on the concrete.

I can tell you it has nothing to do with any upcoming Fracking. If any exploration ever does happen here, which is not a sure thing by any stretch, it will be years away.

I'm not saying they would frack in the Triangle, but it could be a place for some of the hundreds of trucks that it takes for that type of operation to work to be housed, as I've seen up in NEPA. There's only so many places you can stash that amount of trucks. Do you know some more details about this location?
