My daughters 8th birthday is January 2nd. It's always been hard to plan a birthday party because her birthday is so close to the holidays. This year we are going to to it. We will have to have the party on new years eve or new years day. Does anyone have any ideas of where we could have her party? We live in fuquay but Cary Raleigh apex etc. Would be fine.

Depends on how much you want to spend. These are somewhat pricey options but pretty structured and sound fun!

I wouldn't do it on New Years Day.

My 7 (soon to be 8) year old is going to want a sleepover

If you really want kids to come, have a sleepover on NYE! Parents will be all over that!

You could try a pottery painting party here:
Paint Your Pot | Birthday Parties, Summer Camps, Personalized Gifts | Cary, NC

One of our kids had a birthday party there and everyone had a great time - the staff was very easy to work with and it was very affordable.

We just had our daughter's at Build A Bear....the minimun is 6 there. It was very nice--a staff member walked them through the whole process. Afterwards we had a cookie cake from the Nestle Tollhouse store (right next door)....ate it at the Food Court.
