Going to court tomorrow, do you think they will waive the fine?

It depends how expired they are. I've been able to go to court, show my registration and be let off the hook. But one time I was over 90 days expired (Thanks Husband!!) and it was too far expired for them to let me off so I had to pay the fine

Thanks everyone. I did go yesterday - it was super easy. Got there around 9:45am, there were no lines - the DA looked at my registration card - and told me it was dismissed and he is waiving the fine...I was in and out in 5 mins.
