Well, the average temps for Raleigh in January are supposedly in the 50's. But it seems to me that 40's is more typical since we moved here in 2000. So maybe we need another 10 years of winters in the 60's so that the annual averages will even out to 50's.

Ha, that video was funny! I'm sure the folks from up North would really find it funny. Although in their defense, it is the change of temperature that makes you feel cold or warm. When you're used to the 70's, and it drops to the 50's, it feels very cold. Yet, when you are used to the 30's, and it climbs to the 50's it feels warm.

My dog finally has a fenced yard! Bring on the snow! For one day. Then melt, please.

Actually Tim Buckley in Wilmington (WWAY) said there might be wet snow overnight Thursday to Friday a.m., Charlotte to Raleigh. I haven't seen that on WRAL yet but that might be fun.

For one day.

Then melt, please...

I agree with Michgc-there is plenty of snow up north! I left to get away from it.
Yeah, a foot and a half is probably going to happen only once in 50 years here, and we got one of those in 2000 so we're not due for another for a long time. 9 inches might happen once or twice in a decade (usually when it does, it's in two years back to back like 81, 82 and then 00 and 02).

Looks like there is a chance of snow overnight Thursday. Basically rain changing to snow with the possibility for light accumulations on grassy and elevated surfaces. I heard the Fish say it himself!

Keep in mind that we got "Fisheled" just the other day with his forecast when it was supposed to be 74 and sunny but it ended up being 58 with drizzle.

Urban Dictionary: FISHELED
