Local dog park scoops?

A friend of mine takes his dog to various dog parks and is always telling me about issues - lots of fights - sometimes the dogs are fine and it's the owners who have the issues. His dog gets along with EVERY dog...I think if I had a dog like that I'd still try and go, but my dog is definitely not a dog park dog anymore. She used to be but after being attacked she has a certain space threshold she doesn't want crossed (yet she will cross others').

She wasn't attacked at the dog park, ironically - it was my apartment complex.

I agree on most of those, but I do clean up after my dog. But apparently, I'm in the minority. Everywhere I've been recently, is covered in it. I saw people today at Carolina Pines, ignoring what their dogs dropped. My dog had to have a bath after the short visit today. Yes, he too was slobbered all over, and just got filthy. I doubt I'd ever go back....Carolina Pines is not at all convenient to my house anyways. I just want to see my dog interact with other dogs, as I rescued him recently and have no idea how he behaves with other dogs. My neighbor's Jack Russells just bark, and when he goes towards them, hey start yelping like they've been shot and run home. So, I haven't had many opportunities to let him interact with other dogs. He's a 57 pound Porty or Labradoodle....not sure which!

Green 7 I have a small dog, min pin, and take hime to dog parks and he is fine. I always keep him in the small dog park since I have seen fights break out in the big dog park and I only take him to parks with seperate areas for small and big dogs. And I don't know about Raleigh but the ones I've been to in FL and NJ theres always way more big dogs in their area than small dogs. I am moving to Raleigh soon so this is great info for me.
