Delay in child care but not for me at work. Fortunately, my better half was able to stay home with the kiddo.

No problems on the locals roads here in Raleigh but someone who only cleared half their rear windshield and apparently did NOT clear their windows either almost merged right into my car!

This native Pennsylvanian left 15 years ago because he hated the winter weather for decades.

I'm good with milk and bread snows and 2 hour delays or cancellations for wet roads and icy bridges.

Yep, another "major" snowstorm hits Raleigh. Better luck next time!

It's good to have it though, around me the roads were pretty icy. I think. I didn't leave my house, but the road in front of my house is icy...

Well, my neighborhood streets this morning were pretty much all ice, as were the secondary roads outside the neighborhood. It wasn't until I got onto I-40 that I hit clear pavement. And I-40 was a mess with major accidents with lane blockages. Both east and west were affected.

Even though my kids drove me to the edge of insanity this morning, I was OK with the delay. My kids have to be at school before the sun rises and their bus does go over an overpass, so .... I prefer them not to be on the road at that hour of an icy day. Unfortunately they are used to getting up at 6 a.m. so they were rarin' to go at 7 a.m. and just starting fighting. I kicked them out to the bus stop earlier than needed and prayed the bus showed up!

Right now I'm just happy they didn't call a full snow day - I'm sure the fact that it's the last day of the quarter and we have a 4 day weekend coming up helped!

A lot of hype around a minor storm. And people still ended up in ditches! The snow here stopped before midnight, and will be gone in another hour or so. I can't wait until it finally dries out, 6+ days straight of rain has made my neighborhood a swamp!

Mine were out sledding on the super thin sheet of ice in our yard at 6:30...in bare feet.
