According to The Weather Channel for my zip code (27607) we'll have clouds until 4pm when it will start snowing until 6pm when it will start freezing rain until 8pm. then clouds again.

Never rely on the Weather Channel. They are not very accurate.

It just started doing something again here in CH - icy rain, I think.

My street in Durham is very glossy and like a newly Zamboni-ed ice rink. Thin layer of ice, but I'm glad I'm staying in.

Nothing going on for a couple of hours but now...sounds like sleet/icy rain but just lightly falling.

We started out with snow, then some sleet and now mostly rain. But it's gonna freeze! And that's the worst possible scenario.

Really? I have always gone to their online site for several years now and found them to be more accurate than WRAL. *gasp* I still watch wral for the personalities, though. I just love 'em. :-)

Just watched Greg Fishel on WRAL...this event will be all but over in about two hours. Ice accumulation on trees and power lines won't be a big problem
