I currently live (rent a condo) in the downtown Raleigh area and commute daily to downtown Durham. After about 2.5 years this has started to wear thin on my emotions. I keep hoping for some form of light/commuter rail but our government can't seem to get its head in the right place.

The area I'm looking at is Brier Creek or Morrisville. Pretty much any area surrounding the junction of I-40 and NC-147. I also don't really want to live in a traditional apartment complex. I'm looking for something more like a townhouse/condo. Are there any communities where I should focus my search in?

Davis Park comes to mind. On Davis Drive, right near Rt 40.

Davis Park: Homes in RTP near Raleigh-Durham & Chapel Hill, NC

Another option is Grace Park, "mixed use" apartments, set in a shopping center. They call it an "urban village". Also on Davis Drive, in Morrisville. Very nice, good location.
