Hi, I'm moving from Waterbury, CT population 110,000....big difference. In my town, I stay away from the southside, its not somewhere I would want to walk at night. However, the southside is the cheapest so there are certain streets to steer clear of.

These are the things I need to know when searching for apartments online. When they tell me a street I have no clue what kind of area it is. There are hundreds of apartments so to narrow it down to North, South, East or West side is easier.

Which side of Raleigh is safest, cleanest, cheapest and middle class? North? South? East? or West?

The stats don't reveal this information....

Thanks for any input

Opinions will differ widely since this is subjective, but we bought a VERY affordable house in Garner last year and are very happy here. Of course there are rough parts and nice parts, like anywhere else. But middle class to you could be different than middle class to me . A salary or rent range would make it easier to give recommendations.
