Bella Monica is probably not hiring, but maybe you can try the restaurant they own downtown (Gravy). Although I wouldn't consider either "High End".

What about working at Heron's at the Umstead Hotel?

As much as I love Bella Monica, I doubt their servers pull $700 a week in tips. I would stick with Angus Barn, Ruths Chris, An, etc. for a job.

Thanks for the advice on Bella Monica! It's difficult to know which are high end as well as high volume when I don't know anyone there.

A guy who lived in my neighborhood worked at Second Empire for years. I got the impression he did pretty well there.

To get a handle on the local restaurant scene try following Gred Cox of the News and Observer. He. Posts restaurant reviews and publishes a "best of list" each year.

I would think the big steakhouses would be the best, since you're talking a high % of groups and business meals. And high pp tickets.

Parizade in Durham is typically pretty good as well in terms of ticket price + consistency of business. I know cheesecake factory is nowhere near "fine dining" but the one at Southpoint has been on a wait since 2007. Sunday afternoon at 3pm? 30 minutes for a table. Not sure how big their sections are though.

You also might want to look at the Melting Pot. Would be an interesting experience- you probalby only have 4-5 table in a night.

Thanks I'll look into them. I know Cheesecake factory makes their servers wear all white, I would definitely be buying bleach lol! The one in Tampa was always on a wait as well....their cheesecake is delicious!
