Although in NY S&S was piloting a program where you scanned your items as you placed them in your basket, and then tallied it up at self checkout instead of scanning everything there.
Giant in MD (I believe owned by the same parent company) does the same thing. There were a few bugs when it first started, but overall it was very convenient.

I agree they'd be much better than Food Lion or Kroger.

Economy is not improving, the economy is on life support. Over 80 billion dollars is printed out of thin air every month. We are going into hyper inflation my friend. This is why the stocks rise in price but rest assured, food and gas prices will rise even more.

I grew up with Wegmans, and thought I finally got away from the cultism of it. Clearly I was wrong. Regardless, it's overrated to me personally, as I don't have the money to throw away on prepared meals, and they've got terrible selection and barely anything on sale at any given point.

I find it interesting how just mentioning Wegmann's upsets people so much. But, you can't beat one of the best companies in the U.S. Don't hate the player, hate the game. Sorry, but i just can't resist being snarky.

For me, it isn't that serious, but it is more than just prepared foods. I think it has to do with the customer service, how clean many of the stores are and the store brand items aren't bad. With that said, I am a regular at the Aldi down the road.

To be fair and to stay on topic, maybe we need some Harris Teeter in our lives up here.
