I'm toying around with the idea of organizing a day-trip out to W. Kerr Scott reservoir for a group of us here at work that ride single track MTB bicycles together.

It would be nice to get a bus for about 10 of us and our bikes that would pick us up at our office in RTP on a weekday morning, drive us out to the trails south of Wilkesboro (150 miles away), wait for us while we get in a few hours of riding, and then transport us back to our office by 5pm. The hard part would be getting 10 or so bikes on the bus, I imagine. Allowing us to drink a beer or two on the drive back would be nice. Gotta replace those electrolytes

Anyone know of a bus charter company that could do something like that?

Post this question on the forums at Trianglemtb.com.

(We take daytrips to Dark Mountain and Warriors creek all the time. We just assign a couple DD's and put four people to a truck. )

There is also a TORC meetup group that regularly organizes local and regional trips.

Finally, DM me if you want to ride locally sometime. I'm in the process of moving, so the next couple weeks are kinda F'd, but after that, I'm always looking to ride. I hit the local singletrack about 3x per week. +/-

If you're out that way, you might also consider Rocky Knob Mountain Bike Park. It is about another 25 minutes down the road near Boone.

I've never been to Rocky Knob, but plan to go there over Easter weekend. I've heard that it lives up to its name.

I rode Warrior Creek last fall and was totally smitten. I normally ride the trails at Regency, with a only handful of trips per year to Umstead.
