Hi again, all--my carpets are in good shape and get cleaned every so often by Stanley Steamer. However, we have an older dog who is getting a little senile and has peed on our carpet a few times. Steamer doesn't get it out. Has anyone had a true success story about a really amazing, effective, professional carpet cleaning company who can actually get those odors out? Stains aren't a problem--we hand-clean quickly--but the odor just refuses to go!!!
I've heard Zerorez is great for this--anyone second that?
Have you tried just using an enzyme cleaner on it yourself? They sell different ones at Petsmart. We've had the best luck with the one that comes in a red jug.
Amazing stuff.. Have to find it online.. Made by Odoban..Biological Solutions Spray ...
Eucalyptus BioOdor Digester
Saturate area and let dry... Gone...
perfect! Thanks, chorne65. evaofnc, yes, we've tried a couple things at the pet store-nature's miracle is on, I think??? Didn't work. I was hoping some company could magically swoop in and solve all my problems,,,,HA!!!!
Might need to replace the pad under the carpet if all else fails. And use Kilz on the subfloor.
This was our experience as well, unfortunately. The carpet was ok because we cleaned it but the padding below was stained and stinky. At the time we were replacing wall to wall carpet with hardwood, a decision I never regretted with children and pets.
