We are looking forward to some penne a la vodka and I realized that we have not driven past a liquor store since moving to Cary. I did some googleing and I found the state's ABC website, but a search of ABC stores produced none in Cary. Can someone explain how this works? I see wine in our local supermarket- wehre can I buy a bottle of liquor?

Unfortunately if the ABC store does not carry your preferred brand it is pretty hit or miss to get them to add it. If its on the list from the board they can get it but if not they usually can't be bothered to try.

There is also a store in Morrisville in the HT shopping center at Davis and McCrimmon and one in Apex off 55 before you get to Home Depot.

I find the one on Cary Parkway tends to have the best selection of the three but if you're just buying vodka for cooking any old brand should do the trick.

There isn't one in 27519. Funny, eh?

I like the store on Cary Parkway. As a bonus, you can stop by La Farm for bread or other French goodies.

Yeah, get a crusty baguette to soak up your vodka sauce. I like that store too, the guys there have given me good advice when i didn't know exactly what to buy. (aka: now I'm hooked on Eagle Rare!)
