My husband and I are going to need IVF in order to have biological children. We have zero experience with this (so far) and so I am adding to my research by asking here:
Does anyone have a recommendation or experience with either NCCRM or Carolina Conceptions that they would like to share? For various reasons these are the two practices we are considering. Obviously before making any choice we will meet with the physicians, etc. (and have already been evaluated at one of these clinics with good experiences so far - I just feel like this is the kind of decision that requires every possible consideration).
I have reviewed the "success rates" for each clinic and equalized them across variables as best I can to get the "real" numbers, right now I am looking for personal or professional experiences for either clinic. Please feel free to DM me if you'd prefer, I really would appreciate any input.
Thanks those who have sent DM. For anyone reading along, the votes have come in overwhelmingly in favor of Carolina Conceptions. I'd still love any other feedback or experiences though.
I don't have direct experience with either CC or NCCRM, but wanted to recommend the Triangle Mommies forum for Infertility Support. They have a number of reviews for both CC and NCCRM posted, as well as plenty of local folks who have gone through the IVF process and are happy to provide information and support. You'll need to register on TM as a member, then request access to Infertility Support (restricted to those who have personal experience with IF). Best of luck to you!
I wouldn't recommend NCCRM, despite having a successful pregnancy as a patient. I knew Dr. Couchman when she was at Duke and liked her a lot but do not have direct experience with CC. i know others that went there and were successful. i would definitely recommend Duke. I liked Dr. Price. Duke generally made us feel like people and treated us in a professional yet compassionate manner.
Unfortunately (for location reasons) the Duke clinic is not an option for us, which is why we're trying to decide between CC and NCCRM. I haven't met Dr. Couchman yet but glad to hear good things.
I've been a patient at both CC and NCCRM and was successful at NCCRM. CC told me to use donor eggs.
There is a local infertility support group and those women will be able to give you the latest scoop on the area clinics..
