Ravenscroft is the leading private pre K - 12 school in the Triangle. They have a wait list and I understand that admissions applications are up 30% over previous years. My son is in 2nd grade there and it has been a wonderful experience. The public school system was not an option die to their inability to provide consistency and their desire to overcrowd classrooms and reassign students to locations away from their homes.

I SO would love my kids to go to Atlas!! It is exactly what I'm looking for. Unfortunately, it's just way too far for me to drive every day. I bet your kids have an amazing experience there--music, language, health...

Another school to consider is Triangle Day School in Durham. And Duke School in Durham.

Default Serching Private school

Hi, I am loking for private school (prefer Protestant Christian school) in Raliegh, Durham, Chpel Hill, Cray area. Academical orient is an important facetor, too. I have two kids, so does any body recommend k-12/6-12 school. Asking too much?

Default Private non-Religious elementary

Check out North Raleigh Country Day School on Strickland. My daughter goes to a track-out camp there (she's in a year-round public school). I would love to send her there for school, but it's not free enough.

Default Private Academic and Religiously affiliated HS

For a small MS/ HS (6-12) with a religious affiliation (non-denominational), but with its main focus on academics, check out Raleigh Latin School, on Sawmill in North Raleigh.

I don't want to get in trouble for hi-jacking a thread (again), so I'll send you a direct message with info on private Christian schools...we just went through this.

Default St. David's School is very good!

High Caliper school with many qualified teachers located inside the beltline.
Very nice school, highly recommended.

What is the tuition on N. Raleigh Country Day School? I can't find it on their website. Also, anyone know if they're non-profit or for-profit?

That entire school fits in a small building. It must be very small indeed. IMHO, I think it would be hard to find a balance between academics and social issues.... I wonder if they would all "get along??"
