I just relocated to Raleigh. I'm looking for a good modern barbershop closer to North Raleigh. I don't want to pay an outrageous price for a haircut, yet I want to find a place which also has good barbers. Any guidance towards this direction is appreciated.

Man-Mur Barber Shop on Hillsborough St. is another Raleigh favorite, if it's not too far out of the way. It across the street from NCSU. I don't really keep up with barbers like I used to since I started shaving my head years ago.

I love Man- Mur. Been going there for over 40's years. It is like stepping back in time. Live the neck shave and hot towel. See Richard or Don.

D Grandes Ligas Barber Shop
Atlantic Springs Rd
Raleigh, North Carolina 27616

Dominican shops are the best, but you need an appointment. They frown upon walk-ins. Also, they have virtually zero web presence, which makes it tough to figure out the hours. If you are willing to navigate all of that mess, then this is definitely the spot.
