I totally get it! The first house we put an offer on had a sloped backyard and a retaining wall. We don't have a ton of backyard with the new one we picked. If I remember right, there was a lot on the far right corner that had less if a slope and only a partial retaining wall. Tht was a premium lot though and I wasn't willing to pay the 7500 up charge!

Good luck finding something. Maybe we will be neighbors!

Yes, my house is at the very back end of the neighborhood and sits on Progress Energy's woods. They are pretty vast and I can walk to Harris Lake in about 15 minutes or so. I like being at the back of the neighborhood because there is very little traffic, more peaceful. I call it a "mullet" lot; suburb in the front and country in the back lol. It does take about 3 minutes to get to Avent Ferry as it is right at 1 mile.
