My workplace fired our bottled water company due to mind boggling incompetence. We just ordered a water dispenser and need to find a source for bottled water. I have seen the filled jugs at Walmart in Hillsborough but would prefer another option. I saw them at Sheetz in Raleigh. Alas, the Mebane Sheetz doesn't have them.
Do you want to just buy the prefilled jugs or get another water company? I think you can fill your own jugs at Weaver Street. They have a filtered water system and charge a reasonable fee for filling the jugs.
There are multiple water delivery services, though, so you could probably go with a different company.
Any thought of just using OWASA water? It's very high quality, coming from the Cane Creek Reservoir (not Jordan Lake like some people think).
Note that Hillsborough gets its water from the Eno, not Cane Creek.
Do they? Oops. I was just thinking that since it's called OWASA (Orange Water And Sewer Authority) they provided water for all of Orange County, but my mistake.
At any rate you can fill your bottles yourself at Weaver Street — I see people load two or three up in grocery carts all the time — or you could get a different service to come to your office.
Thank you both. The boss already purchased a cooler/dispenser so doesn't want to hre another company. Our only fridge is dorm sized so the cooling aspect of the dispenser is a big plus.
Hadn't known Weaver Street had a machine - that will be very convenient!
I am 99% sure they do. I know the Weaver Street in Carrboro does.
We used to get home delivery of water and they just dropped the bottles off on the porch -- no cooler rental/purchase necessary. It's been so long I can't remember who we used though
