We were supposed to be heading out today for 5 days in ST. Thomas, USVI. My health issues got in the way. It was a couples only trip. My mom came anyway (was going to watch the kids) to help out so I'm now looking for a reasonably priced QUIET single night getaway (so more than an hour from RTP is too much) with a place that ideally has a spa tub in the room (With jets, for my back) and onsite everything--that is, meals and such. I know of the Umstead but their spa is closed for renos right now and it a little steep when nothing is included.

I'm thinking no more than $250/night if possible, a place that's quiet and not at all interesting to kids. An attached spa for a massage is nice but not necessary--In fact, I'd prefer an indoor hot tub.

This may be too late but Arrowhead Bed and Breakfast (somewhere in Durham) has some rooms with spa tubs - dinner was great but must be requested ahead of time, breakfast/tea included, beautiful grounds for relaxation. We loved it, I surprised DH with a night "away" for his birthday a few years ago.
