I would 100 times over rather live in Preston Village. Copperleaf leaves me cold. If I were to pay that much for a house it better have some character, the neighborhood too.

I'd imagine some people who bought a short sale or a foreclosure and sold it recently probably made out alright.

With the low inventory we have struggled to find something we like, with a good lot, location, and schools. Our price range has been fairly wide to try and open some options. Needless to say we are extremely frustrated and have considered just leaving the area. The search has been exhausting and ongoing for months...

Really could use some thoughts from the folks here since we are coming down to the wire on finding a place.

Hey dmatma, where did you end up buying? Seems we're looking for something very similar to what you described and I see that the house in this thread is still for sale so looks like you didn't go that route.

any updates would be appreciated.
