I know about Craigslist, but there don't seem to be many/any listings on there, which tells me either there is no market for them or people don't check there. Ebay is obvious so I will try that also, but this is more of a local pick-up item so I didn't think Ebay would work well for that.

Does anyone have any ideas?

The openers are easy - there is always a market for them, but the doors have me stumped. I'd hate to just throw them away completely...

I sold my garage doors on craigslist for $20. My guess is that you don't see many for sale because very few people replace functional garage doors - usually they are destroyed by a car driving through them or by rot. Like anything else - if you price it right, it will sell.

Ack, $20. For that, I'd let the guys take them away and recycle them. I guess it's worth a shot. If they don't sell I can always break them up and take them to the dump later.

If Craigslist doesn't work, you could always try Freecycle (no money for them but at least you don't have to haul them away yourself), or donate them to the Habitat for Humanity ReUse center (tax deduction for donation.)

That was my suggestion also. You can call them and they will come to get them. Their store is up off of Capital on Brentwood, I believe.

You know, donating to Habitat might actually be the best option of all. I bet the tax deduction is equal to or higher than what I'd get selling them, plus they'd go for a good cause. GREAT IDEA, thanks!

The Habitat Reuse Center is on Raleigh Boulevard, which is off Brentwood Road, on the other side of Capital Boulevard from the Brentwood subdivision.

I'd put in my second for Habitat. Goes to a good cause & you get the tax donation... win-win for everyone.

Yup, I'm convinced. I need to call them to arrange it.
