Anyone know if U-verse will ever make it to West Cary (Cary Park area)? I'm so tired of TWC...

Based on what I have seen on my quest to find out if it will ever come to me, it seems that they have slowed expansion. They are supposedly adding more homes in areas that already have Uverse, but there are no concrete plans announced and even the amount of expansion is not clear. Why AT&T's U-Verse Expansion Will Be Much Smaller Than You Think - Company Tap Dances Around Hard Numbers for 'Radical' Expansion | DSLReports.com, ISP Information Given the amount of time it takes for them to put in the boxes on the street, time is running out for them to get started before the end of this year.

Also, if the infrastructure of your neighborhood was put in between somewhere around 2004 and 2006 you are in the same boat I am as the specific system they used they have stopped attempting to do Uverse on. Mostly due to issues with the vendor of the fiber conversion pedestals in the neighborhood and the fact that since the SBC/ATT/Bellsouth merger they have changed to a different system systemwide and we are kind of orphans here in the old Bellsouth area.

Now that it's available....who has it?

Tired of slow streaming with TWC (even on the extreme plan). Who has the highest UVerse plan and how is it performing?

ATT is starting to talk about 300Mbps down and 100Mbps upload.
And meanwhile, TWC is promoting 100Mbps download and 5Mbps up.

Them there digitals are going to be going by so fast, NSA will have to throttle us so they can keep up....

U-Verse is not faster than TWC, at least in my neighborhood. Better customer service though!

edit: I have the max available - 18MBps down.

I switched from TWC to U-Verse maybe 18 months ago. The internet options in my particular install (near Davis Drive & Creek Park road) are limited to 24mbps, but I pay for and routinely get 18Mbps. All in all I greatly prefer the TV interface over TWC - I do miss the higher internet speeds that TWC offers though.

Uverse in some areas now has 45Mbps down available. I routinely get 43 to 45Mbps.

If you get phone, internet, and tv, there is no cap. From what I've read, they can't distinguish how much internet you use because tv and phone come in through the same gateway.
