My husband and I have been contemplating building a home with DR Horton in the Bryson Village in North East Raleigh. Can anyone give feedback on the area in North East Raleigh, we have recently relocated do not know the area well.
The Bryson Village neighborhood is off of Buffloe rd. When I looked up the school district on Wake Co School website it has Forestville Elementary, Wendall Middle and Knightdale High.
We want a nice, safe neighborhood with young families with children as we have a 2 year old and a infant.
There is a pretty wide price range in NE Raleigh, so to be helpful, it is a reasonable question.
Yeah. That's why I asked. Makes it easier to compare the various new construction neighborhoods over in that area to suggest whether the one the OP is considering is the best fit (for the OPs requirements) vs another nearby neighborhood in a similar price range.

For example, MI has a neighborhood called Belmont over off Buffalo Road. If the price the OP wants to spend in the DR Horton neighborhood intersects with the prices in the MI neighborhood, I'd always recommend MI. DR Horton is an unimpressive builder, even for tract.
If this neighborhood is the one that best meets the OP's budget, that's another matter. Don't we all want to find what works best for us financially, while getting as many other desirable neighborhood qualities as possible?

I'm not sure how DR Horton build quality varies from state to state, but here in the Seattle area I would tell you to run, not walk from DR Horton. Our neighborhood was finished by DR Horton, and I've heard first hand from neighbors horror stories about the build quality. Again, not sure if that's all across the board - but interesting to hear someone else also mention them being an unimpressive builder.

I was being kind when I called them unimpressive.
I am not a huge fan of tract builders, but I have owned decent homes in the past (I still own one of them, in fact) that were tract.
I would not buy from DR Horton unless I had no other option.
