Has anyone had any good experience with a tree removal company? I have a tree that was uprooted from the storm that needs to come down. Looking for people that know what they are doing, but aren't exorbitantly priced.

J&D Tree Pros - we hired them after interviewing several companies. They scheduled us quickly and did a VERY professional job at a reasonable price. Our job required the use of a huge crane to lift massive trees from the back yard over the top of the house to the street, but even if not, I'd still hire them again any time.

I'd always call around for a competitive price, and be sure to check insurance and get original copies of their policies before you begin work, but if I ever need tree work again, J&D will be who I call.

Laredo's Landscape based in Apex. They are not a tree removal company specifically, but they will remove trees and I watched them remove ours. They do know what they're doing and I had 5 medium sized trees removed for $350. That's a hard price to beat IMO.

Gotta offer up another thumbs up for J&D Tree Pros!! They just know their trees and how to safely remove them. We removed 20 tree about 6 years ago on a sloping difficult lot. HUGE trees and they used the crane. Not only did were they extremely professional, but they did a fantastic job of grinding the stumps and cleaning up after themselves. We plan to us them again soon!
