We have a new resident in our yard - a 3 to 4 foot black snake with a few babies, I'm sure. I'm well aware of the benefits of having a snake around and I understand that it probably won't hurt anyone, but I have a life-long fear that I haven't gotten over yet. It's been hanging around for a few days now and there's no sign that it's headed away anytime soon.
So, I'm seeking some help in removing and relocating it. I'm hoping that someone would be able to benefit from one on a farm or as a friendly pet for their child. :-)
We live on the Holly Springs/Fuquay border. Please let me know if you think you can help!
Try to learn to live with it. It keeps away more problematic pests. As long as you don't have rodents like mice and rats IN your home, it won't come in either. Remember, if a mouse can get into your house, so can it's predator!

I'd love to be able to just live with it! It's just that we can see it and it seems to be comfortable right where our 2 year old plays. It would be easier if it was out of sight.

I applaud you for relocating it instead of killing it !!
If you lived closer I would bring it to my farm..
Thank you for the nice comment. I definitely don't want to kill it. I feel like its cousins and friends will just come around ten-fold. Snake karma I guess.
How about just take it and it's kids and leave it like in some thick wooded area...
