Just another addition for future searchers. Camden living apartments all seem to have lax breed restrictions. I called 4 different communities, none of them excluded German Shepherds.

I'm so glad you've found a few places where you can have her! It's crazy, I can't imagine anyone who has actually met your dog having any problem with her. I laughed when I read "bully breeds!" Great pic of her and Henry, too, by the way.

I have heard that if you get your dog certified through AKC Canine Good Citizens and TDI that many apartment management companies will waive the breed restriction.

it can help, but more and more I find that all service providers are more interested in a "by the book" approach as opposed to case by case consideration.

The Village apartments off of Strickland Rd. in North Raleigh. I know this is not convenient to PNC, but we rented here years ago when we had sold our house, but not found another to buy yet. At the time we had two german shepherds and also had a hard time finding an apartment which would allow shepherds. We had a very nice experience with this apartment complex. No problems. They have some apartments with garages, so you can use that space to store boxes/furniture if needed.

I don't think the issues is the dog, it's that a lot of these apartments restrict that particular breed, guys

If only there was a similar thing for our five cats! They don't beat up on anything that doesn't belong to them lol.
