I would like to drive and take some snaps of the fall colors.
As am new to Raleigh, can you suggest some good places nearby where I can go to?

Last year I got some amazing pictures of my children at North Cary Park. The Fall colors were wonderful.

In Raleigh --Take Creedmoor Road north of Strickland through the rolling countryside. That's usually beautiful color. Durant Park in North Raleigh can be spectacular--some years are better than others. This year I've noticed some great color coming out on Louis Stephens Drive in Morrisville area.

Other suggestions, folks? I'm always up for new places.

I like the Cameron Park suggestion--I'll need to stroll through there soon. Another one I forgot to mention is the Five Points neighborhood Inside the Beltline. Beautiful homes and the fall color is very nice down there. Go to Lilly's Pizza, grab a coffee at Third Place and stroll around...close to downtown if you make a day of it.

I've been blown away the past couple of days by the beautiful red maples lining Falls River Ave. If you're up that way, it'd be worth your time to take a quick drive through Falls River to see the amazing color.
