I know last summer Waverly Place did free movie screenings on their lawn. They showed some great movies like E.T.

Default Free Bowling

if you go to KidsBowlFree.com: Kids Bowl Free All Summer Long! you can sign your kids up for free bowling, they send you coupons in your email every Sunday from May through August, where you get 2 free games of bowling (you just pay the shoe rental fee) per day. kids 15 and under are free. or you can also sign up, up to 4 adults (16 and over) for $24.95 and they send free coupons for the adults as well.
We do this each summer and even if we go twice a month it more then pays for itself and it is a fun activity for the kids as well as the family.
You can always edit the kids on your list (Adults can't be changed) when ever you want, and as my kids have different friends from out of town, their friends over, or my nieces and nephews here I can add or remove their names to/from the list and take them bowling as well
