Getting nervous.... (Raleigh, Apex: apartment complexes, rental, credit rating)

I joined this forum right before we visited the area in April, to go " town shopping" for a home rental. We are moving to the area in 3 weeks and have been solely focusing on Apex, as we fell in love with it. We have a realtor looking for us but everything seems to be snapped up so quickly, at least the good ones are. We are looking for a 3 bedroom, 2 bath home with at least a one car garage. Our range for rent is $1200-1800. No kids, but 3 older, well behaved dogs, one if whom has a terminal illness. We feel obligated to keep him in our loving care until the end, and plan to only have 1 dog as time prigresses. We have excellent character references, a very good income and credit rating. Is there anyone ourcthete who could help?

I don't know of many apartment complexes in the area that will let you have three dogs.

Hi,
you may have to expand your search to different areas near Apex. Having multiple dogs will make most landlords hesitant.

I just looked on Raleigh Craigslist. I see a bunch on there. I see one that says 2 pets, so maybe you could "squeeze in" the other explaining that you will only have 3 for a short time. I see a house for rent (4 BR $1600) that says pets allowed. I see another house that says pets with fee. Just be careful you are dealing with real people on CL. I found my home rental on there-but there are scammers claiming to be out of the country and wanting you to "wire" money!
