Hello,

I'm relocating to the area in the next couple of weeks and am looking for a Raleigh/Cary apartment (in a safe area that might have direct access to greenways/trail systems. Any ideas are greatly appreciated!!!

I know Aston Woods Apartments in Cary do. I have no idea how the apartments are, but they're in the same area as my neighborhood and it's definitely a safe area.

There are tons!!! There are many off of the Lynn Road area in Raleigh, North Hills Drive, Atlantic Avneue, Six Forks. Some off of Durant also. Those are just the ones I know of. You might need to get a city greenway map and then a city road map and see if you can't narrow it down. There are a lot. I don't know much about Cary but probably very similar.

Brookefield in N. Raleigh doesn't have direct access, but it's close enough. You have to walk a little bit (about half a mile to three-quarters of a mile depending on which building your apartment is in) through a *very* safe neighborhood to pick up the trailhead for the Simms Branch Trail, which runs between/through some of the neighborhoods off Durant Rd and winds up in Durant Nature Park.

Hermitage at Beechtree on Cary Parkway is where I live. I am steps from the paved paths all through the woods around North Cary Park. It's beautiful.

The apts across the street also have access.

Black Creek Greenway is wonderful.

I'm not a fan of Lake Pine Dr.

That said, the apts are prolly ok. Not luxurious or anything, mind you.

I was just reminded that Weston Lakeside has trail access.
