Advance admission tickets are $7 for adults and $3 for children, a discount of $2 per adult and $1 per child’s gate admission. Adult admission tickets for groups of 40 or more are $5 each. The fair also offers a group discount on children’s tickets for $2 for groups of 40 or more.
Children 5 and under and adults 65 and over enter the fair free of charge.
Fairgoers may also purchase a sheet of 18 ride tickets in advanced for $10. At the fair, ride tickets are $1 each. Children’s rides are typically two to four tickets each, while adult rides can range from three to eight tickets.
Online ticket sales are subject to a fee of up to 15 percent. Advance tickets may be purchased online at NCStateFair.org.
As an FYI, you can buy the tickets with no service fee at the State Farmers' Market and at the Fairgrounds (the entrance off Trinity kinda across the street from Carter Finley) .
I always thought the price of admission was a little steep...even at $7.00 pre-sale. I really have something to live for now being that in a few years I'll be 65 and admission is FREE! I'm going to that sucker every day
All of a sudden, I have a craving for a deep fried snickers!
