Hi everyone,
We're looking for Russian-speaking day care for our almost 3 year old kid.
We are moving to Chapel Hill but do not mind to drive to Cary/Durham or Raleigh to drop off/pick up.

Any suggestions would be really appreciated.

Thanks so much.

Try contacting the Russian school in Raleigh for some leads.
Search for Znaika on the internet

I'm not aware of any Russian-focused daycares. There are several Spanish immersion preschools in the area.

Your best bet might be to look for a Russian-speaking nanny. I know there are Russians and Russian-speakers in the Chapel Hill area, but I don't know if they also do childcare. I have a friend who has moved out of the area now, but she is a Russian scholar and she had neighbors who were from Russia. I would think at worst you could find a UNC college student studying Russian to nanny for you and speak Russian to your child.

My Russian neighbors have a woman come to their house to teach Russian to their children. The two oldest kids speak some but the youngest (6) refuses to speak it even though he understand what they are saying. They also had a Russian speaking nanny for about 4 years. Bet if you advertised you could find somebody in Chapel Hill. that daily drive to Raleigh from Chapel Hill is a killer.

I'm not aware of any Russian day cares in the whole Triangle area. Russian school in Raleigh is on weekends only, I believe. Our kid goes to a regular English preschool since 2.5 and has no problem speaking both languages (we speak Russian at home).

There is a local Russian group on Meetup and I think there is a church in Mebane (?). Maybe they would know of some options. Sorry I can't be of much help - our preference was for our kid to learn English early.

there is also a group on Facebook, for Russian Speaking ladies - you are welcome to ask there. Search for the group Devichnik NC and Triangle Russian Parents

Default Yes, we now have two Russian speaking daycare.

There are two Russian daycares in Triangle now. One in Holly Springs, another around Raleigh area. You can ask in the group http://facebook.com/devichnikNC (its a free club for Russian speaking ladies in Triangle aka RTP area). One daycare is lead by Inna, another by Yelena.
