I've got a couple of small propane canisters that I need to get rid of safely. They're the little ones that go to a Coleman stove. Any ideas?

I believe stores that sell them will take the empty canisters back. I would give REI, as I know they take the small canisters used for backpacking stoves.

If they aren't empty, I saw a scientific documentary film last night where they used them as bombs to destroy tornadoes full of sharks.
You think I'm making this up?
LOL

Alternatively to stowing them whilst awaiting shark-filled water spout tornadoes and tuning up your chopper, You might take them to a Hazardous Waste Recycling Centers:

Household Hazardous Waste

You can just throw them in the trash.

I usually just toss 'em in the nearest lake. Heard from a friend that they are biodegradable.
