Did not find any posts here on PHT. Looks like PHT is the preferred service provider for electrical wiring when it comes to Centex homes in Highland Creek, Raleigh 27616. PHT also pitches their home security system in this community. Does anyone have any experience with PHT security ?

First timer here with no experience whatsoever with ADT/CPI etc so any feedback on what I should factor in when comparing service providers is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Just make sure everything they promise is in writing. If they tell you something about the contract terms, conditions or pricing make them point to it in the contract then check what you end up signing to see if it matches. If they make handwritten addenda to the contract, basically anything thats not just filling in a box on their master form, make sure the person that does it is authorized and ask how they ensure these things get into the system.

Don't be afraid to type up a quick page summarizing anything different than their standard and include language that the person is an authorized signer and have them and their manager sign it. Include and reference this with your contract and keep a copy.

I've never heard of that company and they may well be completely above board, but the entire industry is known for somewhat less than complete honesty during the sales phase and in spite of any company policy it is always possible for some individual to make a mistake or try to mislead you.
